改編自2017大衛格雷恩的紀實小說《花月殺手：美國連續謀殺案與FBI的崛起》，《神鬼無間》馬丁史柯西斯執導，《阿甘正傳》《壹個巨星的誕生》奧斯卡提名編劇艾瑞克羅斯（Eric Roth）擔任編劇，《神鬼獵人》李奧納多狄卡皮歐、勞勃狄尼洛、 莉莉格萊斯頓、 傑西普萊蒙、 約翰李斯高、 布蘭登費雪主演。

1894年，奧塞奇人的居住地發現石油，當時該部落仍保有礦產權，便將土地租賃給天然資源開發商，因而變得極為富裕，然而，這也吸引了如狼似虎的投機者壹窩蜂地湧入領地。剝削的情況日益嚴重，而且並不僅限於犯罪猖獗的新興城市，在美國政府的授權下，該地實施了壹種扭曲的種族主義「監護人」制度，規定美國原住民的財富需委由白人監護人管理，而白人便從中獲取了數百萬美元的利潤。

更糟的是，1920 年代「恐怖統治」時期，許多奧塞奇人死於離奇的謀殺，其中包括慢性中毒致死，他們賴以取得利潤的「人頭權」(包含石油權利的股份) 因此落入與之聯姻，顯然別有用心的白人闖入者手裡。1923 年，聯邦調查局應奧塞奇族人的要求展開調查，這也是該局最早偵破的兇殺案之壹，然而損害已經造成，無可挽回。
